Primary Responsibilities
1. Tool & Equipment Handling: Carrying and organizing heavy tools (vacuum pumps, ladders, manifold gauges) and ensuring they are cleaned and accounted for after each job.
2. Basic Maintenance: Cleaning AC filters, washing evaporator coils with water or chemicals, and clearing blocked drainage pipes.
3. Manual Assistance: Helping with the lifting and positioning of heavy indoor units or outdoor condensers during installation.
4. Site Preparation: Laying down protective sheets in residential areas, opening ceiling manholes, and ensuring the workspace is safe and clean after the repair.
5. Material Procurement: Assisting in identifying needed spare parts (capacitors, fan motors, copper pipes) and retrieving them from the company vehicle or warehouse.
Must be able to lift heavy equipment and work in high temperatures (often on rooftops or in uncooled areas).
Understanding the difference between split, window, and central units and knowing the names of common tools.
Knowledge of basic safety protocols, such as using harnesses at heights and handling electrical components carefully.
Ability to follow instructions from the lead technician; basic English is usually necessary for coordination.
