Maintenance and Servicing:
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance of V systems, split units, and package units and also refrigeration equipment (freezers, fridge, coolers, etc.).
• Clean filters, check refrigerant levels, inspect electrical components, and calibrate thermostats and controls.
• Ensure smooth functioning of indoor and outdoor VRF units by regularly inspecting compressor performance, fan operation, and inverter functions.
• Perform leak detection, vacuuming, refrigerant recovery and recharging in accordance with safety and environmental standards.
Troubleshooting and Repair:
• Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in V systems including communication failures, sensor malfunctions, and electronic expansion valve issues.
• Interpret V system error codes using service tools and control panels to pinpoint system malfunctions.
• Repair or replace defective components including compressors, fan motors, PCBs, sensors, and control boards.
• Analyze system operating parameters such as pressure, temperature, and current to identify inefficiencies or failure trends.
• Coordinate with OEM technical support or manuals when dealing with complex V issues.
Installation Support:
• Assist in installation and commissioning of V systems and standard units as per drawings and manufacturer specifications.
• Perform piping, insulation, vacuuming, and gas charging for new installations.
• Install related electrical works like wiring and DP switch etc., as per site conditions
System Monitoring and Testing:
• Use diagnostic tools (e.g., manifold gauges, clamp meters, VRF controllers) to assess system health.
• Monitor and record system pressures, temperatures, and airflow to ensure optimal performance.
Coordination and Reporting:
• Coordinate with supervisors and engineers for scheduled maintenance and urgent repair works.
• Prepare and submit daily maintenance reports, checklists, and logbooks.
• Compliance and Safety:
• Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE during maintenance tasks.
• Ensure compliance with QCDD, manufacturer, and site-specific HSE guidelines.
Requirements: Education and Linguistics:
• Diploma or Technical Certificate in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration or related field, especially in VRV System.
• Must be able to read and write English and prepare various maintenance reports
• Arabic speaking will be given preference. Good English conversation is must.
Experience:
• Minimum 4–6 years hands-on experience in servicing V systems (preferably Daikin, LG, or Mitsubishi) and conventional AC units.
Technical Skills:
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills specific to VRF technology.
• Familiarity with wiring diagrams, control systems, and remote monitoring tools.
• Knowledge of refrigerant types (R410A, R32) and handling procedures.
• Experience in maintenance and repairing of refrigeration units like refrigerators, freezers, ice makers, water coolers, etc.
• Other Skills:
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good physical condition and manual dexterity. • Basic English language skills (reading manuals and completing forms).
