Job Description

The Assistant Manager - Finance is responsible for supervising the accounting team and overseeing the maintenance of accurate financial records, including general ledgers and reconciliations. You will ensure timely month-end and year-end closing processes and review financial statements in compliance with IFRS. Key duties include managing fixed assets, accounts payab, and maintaining internal controls to safeguard company assets. You will coordinate with auditors, support budgeting activities, and maintain financial data within SAP ERP systems. Additionally, you will provide financial insights and handle tax-related accounting matters under the direction of the Finance Manager to support strategic decision-making.

Candidate Requirements

Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or an equivalent field. A professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CPA, or CIMA is mandatory. Candidates must have at least 8 years of relevant experience in a financial or accounting role. Experience in supervising teams and working with ERP systems (specifically SAP) is essential. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of IFRS, internal controls, and audit coordination, along with the ability to drive process improvements and automation initiatives.
