Role Overview
The Cybersecurity & Data Protection Specialist will be responsible for defining, implementing, and managing cybersecurity governance, data protection frameworks, and incident response mechanisms across IT, operations, and third-party service providers. The role focuses on ensuring system integrity, availability, and compliance with established cybersecurity standards and controls.
Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of cybersecurity governance, risk management, and data protection frameworks.
Hands-on experience with ISO 27001, cybersecurity controls, audits, and compliance requirements.
Experience in designing and implementing incident response plans and handling cybersecurity incidents.
Expertise in monitoring, logging, auditing, and remote-access security controls.
Knowledge of SOC operations, SIEM tools, and continuous monitoring solutions.
Understanding of IT infrastructure, networks, systems security, and application security.
Experience working with third-party vendors, contractors, and managed service providers from a cybersecurity perspective.
Preferred Certifications (Good to Have)
ISO 27001 Lead Implementer / Lead Auditor
CISSP / CISM / CEH
Any relevant cybersecurity or data protection certification
