We are seeking a skilled Extra Low Voltage (ELV) Technician to install, maintain, test, and repair various low voltage electronic systems in residential, commercial, and industrial facilities. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of ELV systems and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
Installation & Configuration:
Install, configure, and commission ELV systems including CCTV, access control, fire alarm, public address, structured cabling, and building management systems
Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints
Run and terminate low voltage cabling according to industry standards
Mount and position equipment such as cameras, sensors, control panels, and devices
Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
Perform routine maintenance and preventive checks on ELV systems
Diagnose and troubleshoot system faults and malfunctions
Repair or replace defective components and equipment
Conduct system testing to ensure optimal performance
Doentation & Compliance:
Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities
Ensure all work complies with local electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry standards
Prepare as-built drawings and technical doentation
Complete job reports and time sheets accurately
Client Interaction:
Provide technical support and training to end users
Respond to service calls and emergency breakdowns
Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members
Required Qualifications
Education & Certification:
Relevant ELV system certifications (preferred)
Valid driver's license
Experience:
2-5 years of hands-on experience with ELV systems installation and maintenance
Proven experience with at least three of the following: CCTV, access control, fire alarm, public address, structured cabling, BMS, or intercom systems
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of IP-based and analog systems
Proficiency in network configuration and troubleshooting
Knowledge of relevant codes and standards (NEC, T, etc.)
Ability to use testing equipment such as multimeters, cable testers, and network analyzers
Computer literacy including MS Office and system configuration software

Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
Physical fitness to lift equipment and work in various conditions

Working Conditions
Site-based work with occasional office duties
May require working at heights, in confined spaces, or outdoor environments
Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, or on-call as needed
Travel to multiple sites may be required
