Key Responsibilities:
Review project specifications, drawings, and scope to prepare accurate cost estimates.
Participate in pre-bid meetings and gather relevant data for pricing.
Analyze blueprints and technical doents to determine material, labor and time requirements.
Request and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
Maintain records of historical pricing, past estimates, and actual project costs.
Assist in preparing budgets, tender doents, and proposals.
Coordinate with the production and procurement teams to align estimates with actual capabilities.
Track market rates and trends to ensure competitive and updated pricing.
Prepare estimate vs actual reports for completed projects.
Support the sales or project team with technical queries related to estimation.
Qualification:
BE, B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
Experience:
Minimum of 8 years’ experience as an engineer, estimator or similar role in the medium and heavy steel fabrication, oil and gas construction industry or a related field.
Minimum 3 year’s GCC experience is preferable.
Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
Proficient in AutoCAD.
Good understanding of CNC machines, and fabrication processes.
