JOB PROFILE
The Intern Fashion Designer primary task is in developing new fashion design / concepts, fabric development and more importantly contribution to creative ideas for the company’s collections. The role provides hands on experience in the design process including market trends, fabric selection and coordinating with production team.
Key Job responsibilities
1.Designing – Has to be contemporary, appealing and has to be at its modest best.
2.Gathering data on market trends, fabrics, colours and styles and about competitor collection.
3.To develop samples – Have to develop samples based on design with production team. To provide sketches / drawings as required.
4.Fabric selection – As fabric gives comfort sourcing of right fabric is important as the clothing shall be used for regular use as well as special occasion. Knowing nuance of fabric will be of advantage.
5.Administrative support – Any preparatory work, Notes, sourcing etc.
Candidate has to be creative and top notch in knowing current fashion trends and has to be out of box thinking.
Has to stand out from the crowd.
