Key Responsibilities
1. Beverage Preparation & Specialty Coffee
Prepare a full range of hot and cold drinks per recipes, including espresso‑based beverages (e.g. cappuccinos, lattes, flat whites), cold brew, signature specialty drinks, and seasonal offerings.
Steam and froth milk to precise texture; execute latte art and visually appealing presentations.
Customize drinks per customer preferences (milk alternatives, sweetness, flavors, temperature).
2. Customer Engagement & Service
Greet studio clients and guests warmly; take orders attentively, offering menu guidance in line with wellness atmosphere.
Educate customers on coffee origins, bean varieties, and specialty preparation methods.
Suggest upsells like snacks, seasonal specials, or add‑ons aligned with the studio’s ethos.
3. Equipment Use & Maintenance
Operate espresso machines, grinders, pour-over, and other brew equipment proficiently.
Perform daily cleaning and periodic calibration of machines; troubleshoot minor issues.
4. Inventory, Stock & Cash Handling
Maintain stock levels (coffee beans, milk, syrups, cups, etc.); restock and reorder as needed.
Accurately process payments via POS, handle cash and card transactions, issue receipts.
5. Cleanliness & Hygiene
Keep café space inviting and sanitary—clean workstations, serving area, utensils and surfaces.
Comply with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations.
6. Studio Integration & Team Collaboration
Coordinate with Pilates instructors and front‑desk staff to align openi routines and customer flow.
Provide feedback to studio management on beverage preferences, supply needs, or menu enhancements.
Requirements & Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of professional barista experience, preferably in specialty coffee or café settings.
Proven proficiency in espresso brewing, milk texturing, latte art, and specialty drink crafting.
Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a welcoming and wellness‑oriented approach.
Attention to detail, ability to multitask and maintain composure in shifts.
Basic cash handling and PO
Knowledge of coffee beans, roasts, brewing methods, milk alternatives and dietary preferences.
Flexibility to work early mornings or days aligning with studio hours; punctual, consistent attendance.
Food safety certification or willingness to obtain it.
Preferred (Bonus) Skills
Certification via Specialty Coffee Association (SCA) or equivalent.
Experience working in wellness or boutique environments (e.g. yoga or fitness centers).
Familiarity with creating and promoting wellness‑oriented beverage options (e.g. matcha tea, adaptogenic lattes).
