Speedo Swim Squads Dubai is a competitive swim club committed to developing confident, skilled swimmers of all ages. Safety is at the heart of everything we do and we're looking for a dedicated Lifeguard to help keep our pools safe, clean and welcoming.
The Role
As a Lifeguard, you'll supervise all activity at our aquatic facility, respond quickly to emergencies and support our coaches during swimming lessons. You'll be a visible, approachable presence on deck who keeps swimmers safe and makes sure everyone follows the rules.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all activities at the aquatic facility
- Assist coaches with swimming lessons
- Explain and enforce rules, regulations and policies to ensure the safety of all patrons
- Monitor designated areas and recognise early signs of danger
- Warn swimmers about unsafe behaviour or situations
- Maintain order in swimming areas at all times
- Respond to emergencies and rescue swimmers in danger of drowning
- Perform first aid procedures when required
- Keep all pool and deck areas clean, tidy and well organised
- Maintain accurate records, incident reports and logs
Requirements
- Valid, recognised lifeguard qualification
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Strong swimming ability and physical fitness
- Excellent observation skills and the ability to stay alert for long periods
- Calm, decisive response under pressure
- Clear communication skills and a friendly, professional manner
- Previous lifeguarding experience, ideally with children or swim programmes, is a plus
- Flexibility to work shifts, including early mornings, evenings and weekends
