Field Technician – Job Description
We are looking for a Field Technician to join our oil & gas operations team. The candidate will be responsible for supporting field activities at oil and gas facilities and rigs, including plugging and unplugging operations, installation and removal of wellhead equipment, use of lubricators and specialized tools, and routine inspection and maintenance of equipment. The role requires strict compliance with HSE procedures, client requirements, and company work instructions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform plugging and unplugging operations for NRV and VR plugs.
- Assist with installation, removal, and handling of wellhead equipment.
- Operate lubricators, T-bars, Parmelee wrenches, and other specialized field tools.
- Conduct equipment inspections and ensure tools are properly maintained.
- Follow approved procedures, risk assessments, and permit-to-work requirements.
- Complete job reports, checklists, and field doentation.
- Coordinate with rig and client personnel during operations.
- Maintain high standards of HSE and housekeeping at the worksite.
- Travel to different field locations and work in demanding outdoor conditions.
- Perform other field service activities as assigned.
Requirements:
- Diplo or technical qualification in Mechanical, Oil & Gas, or a related field.
- Previous oil & gas field experience is preferred.
- Experience with wellhead equipment or pluggi operations is an advantage.
- Good understanding of HSE requirements and safe working practices.
- Physically fit and willing to work at remote field locations.
- Valid UAE driving license is an advantage.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a field team.
