Position: Finance Manager – Pharmaceutical

About the Company
We are a newly established holding entity within a multinational pharmaceutical group, managing strategic investments and subsidiaries across the region. We are hiring a Finance Manager to establish our financial infrastructure, strengthen governance across entities, and ensure compliance with UAE regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Setup & Accounting Operations
•Establish a Chart of Accounts tailored to a holding company structure..
•Oversee day-to-day accounting including office expenses, payroll, petty cash, and vendor payments.
•Perform monthly bank reconciliations, month-end closing, and maintain proper doentation controls.
Group Consolidation & Management Reporting
•Coordinate with finance teams in subsidiaries to collect monthly financial reports.
•Prepare consolidated financial statements and consolidation schedules.
•Manage intercompany reconciliations (loans, dividends, share transfers, cross-border balances).
•Deliver monthly management reports and financial insights for the Director (cash flow, performance, key variances).
Audit, IFRS & UAE Compliance
•Serve as the primary point of contact for the external auditor and manage annual audit requirements.
•Prepare audit schedules and financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
•Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations (registration assessment and filing, if applicable).
•Support ESR (Economic Substance Regulations) notifications and reporting to the Ministry of Finance.
Internal Audit Oversight (Subsidiaries)
•Act as an internal auditor across subsidiaries to review financial controls, reporting accuracy, and compliance.
•Identify gaps, propose improvements, and support implementation of governan across the group.
Strategic Finance Support (Investments & M&A)
•Support short-term investments in equities and similar financial instruments through tracking and reporting.
•Provide finance support for M&A deals, including financial analysis and due diligence coordination.
Requirements
•Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounti. AC (qualified or part-qualified) preferred.
•Experience: Minimum 5+ years accounti experience in the UAE.
•Expertise (must have):
oStrong knowledge of IFRS and audit support
oStrong knowledge of UAE VAT
oFamiliarity with ESR requirements
•Preferred: Holding company experience a multi-entity consolidation exposure.
•Software: Strong proficiency in Zoho / Xero / QuickBooks and advanced Excel skills.
•Language: Fluent in English.
