ob Summary: The Fire Fighting Technician will handle the installation and maintenance of mechanical fire protection systems. The role requires a candidate who can ensure system integrity through precise piping assembly and rigorous pressure testing according to international safety codes.
Key Responsibilities:
System Installation: Install fire sprinkler networks, hydrants, and hose reel systems in high-rise and industrial environments.
Mechanical Assembly: Perform pipe preparation using roll-grooving machines and threading equipment. Ensure all mechanical joints are seated correctly to prevent leaks.
Testing & Commissioning: Conduct hydrostatic pressure tests and flow tests to verify system performance before Civil Defense inspections.
Pump Room Maintenance: Assist in the setup and routine servicing of fire pumps, including checking valves, gauges, and mechanical seals.
Technical Compliance: Ensure all installations meet NFPA 13 and NFPA 25 requirements, as well as local UAE Life Safety Codes.
Maintenance: Diagnose and repair leaks or mechanical failures in existing fire protection piping networks.
Qualifications & Skills:
Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in the UAE fire fighting industry.
