Job Description

Welcome and professionally assist patients, visitors, and family members.
Register new and returning patients accurately in the hospit system.
Schedule, confirm, and manage doctor appointments.
Answer incoming calls and provide information about departments, doctors, appointments, and services.
Verify patient identification and required registration or insurance doents.
Coordinate with doctors, nurses, billing, laboratory, pharmacy, and other departments.
Manage patient check-in and check-out procedures.
Provide directions and guide patients to the appropriate department or consultation area.
Handle patient inquiries and complaints professionally and refer complex issues to the appropriate supervisor.
Maintain accurate patient records and protect patient confidentiality and privacy.
Assist with insurance-related doentation and coordinate with the insuran department when required.
Collect or direct patients for applicable payments according to hospital procedures.
Maintain reception records, appointment schedules, and daily reports.
Manage incoming and outgoing doents, messages, and correspondence.
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area.
Follow hospital infection-control, health, safety, and emergency procedures.
Assist patients who require additional support, including elderly patients and people with disabilities.
Perform other administrative duties assigned by the reception supervisor or hospital management.

Candidate Requirements

Education: High school diploma; a certifica in Healthcare Administration, Medical Reception, or Medical Office Administration is an advantage.
Experience: 1–2 years of receptionist, customer service, or healthcare administration experience preferred. Freshers may be considered for entry-level roles.
Computer skills: Basic knowledge of MS Office, email, hospit management systems, and appointment scheduling software.
Communication: Good English communication skills; Arabic or other languages can be an advantage in Dubai.
Customer service: Professional, polite, and patient-focused approach.
Doentation: Ability to maintain accurate patient and appointment records.
Confidentiality: Understanding of patient privacy and confidential handling of medical information.
Insurance knowledge: Basic understanding of health insurance and patient billing procedures is an advantage.
Personal qualities: Good organization, attention to detail, punctuality, patience, and ability to work under pressure.
Shift flexibility: Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays where required.
