Qualifications & Competencies
Strong knowledge of instrument tubing and tubing installation
Ability to read and understand P&IDs, Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams
Good understanding of instrument hook-up drawings and layout drawings
Experience in instrument air, fine & gas tubing installation
Knowledge of equipment, panels, and instrument installation
Experience in CCTV installation (if applicable to project scope)
Skilled in using tube benders, fittings, ferrules, and tube press tools
Experience in tube pressure testing and flushing
Hands-on experience with emergency shutdown systems (ESD), WHCP, bulkhead tube connections
Knowledge of partial stroke testing panels and local control panels
Experience in big bore valve stroking and functional testing
Education & Certification:
Technical / Vocational Qualification in Instrumentation or related trade
Trade certification in Instrument Tubing / Fitting preferred
NFPA 70E Awareness (preferred)
Proven work experience doents required
Key Technical Skills:
Installation of low- and high-pressure hydraulic tubing
Experience with tubing materials:
INCONEL 625
AISI 316L
Tubing sizes handled:
¼”,”, ½”, and 1”
Ability to measure, cut, bend, and assemble tubing as per hook-up drawings and specifications
Skilled in using hand tools and power tools for shaping and fitting tubing
Capable of preparing work completion reports and material records
