Job Purpose:
The Joinery Carpenter is responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing wooden components and furniture as per approved shop drawings and specifications. The role includes reading technical drawings, measuring and cutting materials accurately, and ensuring high-quality finishes in line with company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
•Read and interpret joinery shop drawings, cutting lists, and technical details.
•Fabricate custom joinery items such as doors, cabinets, wall claddings, counters, and decorative elements.
•Select and prepare appropriate types of wood, veneers, MDF, and other materials.
•Operate hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machines safely and efficiently.
•Assemble components with precision, ensuring correct alignment and secure joints.
•Perform installation works on-site when required, ensuring correct fitting and finishing.
•Collaborate with draftsmen, supervisors, and site teams to resolve technical or fitting issues.
•Follow health and safety guidelines and maintain cleanliness in the work area.
