Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Assistant with a strong background in pharmaceutical engineering and utilities to support day-to-day operations of our production facility in JAFZA South. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in pharmaceutical plant maintenance, equipment troubleshooting, and utilities operation (such as HVAC, purified water system, steam, compressed air, and chillers) in accordance with GMP standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in routine and preventive maintenance of all pharmaceutical equipment and utility systems (e.g., HVAC, purified water system, WFI, steam generation, chillers, AHU, and compressors).
Support troubleshooting and repair of breakdowns in production, packaging, and utility areas.
Ensure compliance with GMP, safety, and quality standards during all maintenance activities.
Coordinate with engineering and production departments to minimize downtime.
Maintain doentation for all maintenance activities (e.g., logbooks, checklists, calibration records).
Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and modifications.
Monitor and record utility parameters (temperature, pressure, humidity, etc.) to ensure system efficiency and regulatory compliance.
Report equipment malfunctions and provide timely escalation when needed.
Support third-party contracto during service or audit visits.
Ensure proper housekeeping and safety practices are followed in the maintenance and utility areas.
Requirements:
Diploma or ITI in Electric Engineering or related field.
Minimum 2–5 years of experience in a pharmaceutical or biotech manufacturing environment.
Working knowledge of pharma utility systems: HVAC, purified water system ( boilers, compressors, chillers, etc.
Familiar with GMP and cleanroom environment maintenance protocols.
Ability to read technical drawings and equipment manuals.
Basic understanding of PLC-based systems and instrumentation is an added advantage.
Good communication skills and ability to work in shifts and under pressure.
UAE experience or knowledge of JAFZA compliance is a plus.
Preferred Candidate:
Based in or willing to relocate to JAFZA South, Dubai.
Immediate joiners will be given preference.
