ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are looking for a skilled, hands-on Maintenance Technician to keep our new Wafi Mall venue in perfect working condition. This is a key role for a true all-rounder — someone who can handle general repairs, electrical and plumbing works, and troubleshoot our AV and lighting systems with confidence. If you take pride in making sure everything works, every night, we want to hear from you.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
–Carry out daily preventive maintenance and general repairs across the venue — electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting and minor civil works
–Operate, troubleshoot and maintain AV and lighting systems — sound mixers, amplifiers, speakers, microphones, DMX consoles, dimmers, moving heads and LED fixtures
–Respond rapidly to breakdowns during service and resolve issues with minimum disruption to guests
–Maintain HVAC, refrigeration and kitchen equipment in coordination with specialist contractors
–Carry out scheduled inspections and keep accurate maintenance logs, checklists and service records
–Manage spare parts, tools and consumables — track inventory and reorder as needed
–Support event setup and strike — AV patching, lighting scenes, staging and on-site adjustments
–Coordinate with external vendors for specialist works and follow up on warranty and AMC items
–Ensure full compliance with health, safety, fire-safety and mall regulations at all times
–Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience in hospitality, F&B, hotel or entertainment venues
–Strong all-round technical skills: basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting and general handiwork
–Working knowledge of AV and lighting systems — mixers, amplifiers, DMX lighting consoles, intelligent and LED fixtures
–Familiarity with HVAC, refrigeration, fire alarm and kitchen equipment maintenance
–Able to read basic schematics and troubleshoot methodically under pressure
–Reliable, proactive and comfortable working evenings, weekends and during live service
–Good spoken English; Arabic or Hindi an advantage
–UAE experience and valid trade certifications strongly preferred
