We are looking for an experienced and proactive MEP Procurement Officer / Procurement Engineer to join our team in Dubai.
The ideal candidate should have solid experience in MEP contracting procurement, with strong knowledge of the UAE market, suppliers, manufacturers, subcontractors, pricing, and material availability.
Key Responsibilities:
-Manage the complete procurement cycle for MEP projects, from RFQ to delivery.
-Source and evaluate suppliers, manufacturers, and subcontractors for MEP materials and services.
-Obtain and compare quotations and prepare detailed Technical & Commercial Comparison Sheets.
-Negotiate competitive prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, warranties, and other commercial conditions.
-Purchase and coordinate procurement of Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, Fire Alarm and ELV materials and equipment.
-Review BOQs, specifications, material submittals and project requirements to ensure correct procurement.
-Prepare and process Purchase Orders (P coordination with management, QS and project teams.
-Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery according to project requirements.
-Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, Quantity Surveyors, Stores and Accounts departments.
-Maintain and develop a strong database of reliable UAE suppliers and subcontractors.
-Monitor market prices and identify cost-saving and value-engineering opportunities.
-Ensure materials comply with project specifications, approved manufacturers and consulta requirements.
-Handle urgent procurement requirements and resolve supply or delivery issues efficiently.
Minimum 5 years of UAE experience in MEP procurement, preferably with an MEP contracting company.
- Strong knowledge of the UAE MEP suppliers and subcontractor market.
- Good understanding of Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting and ELV materials.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to obtain competitive quotations and achieve cost savings.
- Good knowledge of procurement procedures, LP, RFQs and quotation comparison.
- Ability to read and understand BOQs, specifications and basic MEP drawings.
- Excellent skills in MS Excel and MS Office.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
- UAE driving license is an advantage.
Preferred Candidate
Candidates with an established network of UAE MEP suppliers, manufacturers and subcontractors will be highly preferred.
Experience in handling procurement for commercial, residential, hotel, villa or government MEP projects will be an added advantage.
Salary: Negotiable, based on experience and qualifications.
