About the Company
Novel Fine Jewellery FZCO is looking for a detail-oriented, analytical, and experienced Accountant to join our team in JLT, Dubai. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background, knowledge of UAE tax regulations, and experience in Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance, preferably within the jewellery or trading industry.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate financial records, general ledger accounts, and accounting doentation.
Prepare and process invoices, accounts payable and receivable, payments, and receipts.
Perform regular bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and assist with VAT return preparation and filing.
Support corporate tax calculations, doentation, and filing requirements.
Assist with internal and external financial audits and coordinate with auditors.
Monitor company expenses, maintain supporting doents, and ensure accurate expense recording.
Support AML compliance activities, including customer due diligence (CDD), Know Your Customer (KYC) doentation, transaction monitoring, and recordkeeping, as applicable to the company's regulatory obligations.
Maintain proper financial doentation and ensure compliance with applicable UAE accounting, tax, and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate with internal departments, banks, auditors, and external service providers as required.
Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, bookkeeping, and financial reporting.
Good working knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations.
Experience with AML compliance and related doentation; jewellery or precious metals industry experience is an advantage.
Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
