Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and responsible Operations Manager to handle all transport operations of the company. The candidate will oversee daily transport activities, manage drivers and vehicles, ensure timely deliveries, and maintain smooth operational flow while controlling costs and maintaining compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Transport Operations Management
Oversee and manage daily transportation operations.
Plan dispatch schedules and delivery routes efficiently.
Ensure timely pickup and delivery of goods.
Monitor vehicle movement and improve route optimization.
2. Fleet & Driver Management
Supervise drivers and transport staff.
Prepare driver schedules and trip planning.
Ensure proper vehicle maintenance and cleanliness.
Monitor fuel usage and vehicle performance.
3. Client & Vendor Coordination
Coordinate with clients regarding dispatch and delivery schedules.
Resolve transport-related issues and complaints.
Communicate with service providers and vendors when required.
4. Compliance & Doentation
Ensure compliance with transport regulations and company policies.
Maintain transport permits, trip sheets, and delivery records.
Prepare operational reports as required.
5. Cost Control & Performance Monitoring
Monitor operational expenses and control transport costs.
Improve efficiency and productivity of fleet operations.
Suggest and implement process improvements.
6. Problem Solving & Crisis Management
Handle delivery delays, breakdowns, and emergency situations.
Ensure smooth daily operations with minimal disruptions.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
3–5 years of experience in transpo operations.
Strong knowledge of fleet management and route planning.
Good leadership and team management skills.
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
Basic computer knowledge (MS Office or transport software).
