Job Description:
* Under broad direction, the Planning and Control Engineer is responsible for developing project plans and schedules, and for regularly monitoring, tracking, and reporting the progress of project activities to ensure timely and efficient execution.
* Coordinate with all disciplines, including subsurface, drilling, workover, and surface facilities teams, to gather inputs and develop an integrated project schedule.
*Prepare comprehensive planning packages, including Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS), activity sequencing, detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 / MS Project, progress tracking reports, and S-curves for effective project monitoring and control.
*Regularly update project dashboards to reflect progress status, including S-curves, look-ahead schedules, and key performance indicators for effective project monitoring and reporting.
*Lead and manage the project controls function for the assigned project or department, ensuring effective planning, monitoring, and control.
*Ensure the implementation of project control best practices while developing and mentoring direct reports; manage effective resource allocation, tracking, and control across projects.
*Liaise with accounting, finance, and technical teams to act as a continuous advisor on asset value optimization, effective plan execution, and periodic project plan reviews.
*Demonstrate strong macro-level understanding of the upstream oil and gas industry to effectively interpret industry fundamentals and their impact on project planning and execution.
*Bachelor of Engineering (preferably Mech)
*Minimum 7 to 10 years in o petrochemicals
