We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the fit-out contracting a interior design industry in Dubai, with a proven track record of managing projects from inception to completion, with a strong emphasis on timeline adherence and quality control.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Scheduling:
Develop detailed project schedules, including timelines and resource allocation.
Monitor project progress closely, identifying potential delays or bottlenecks proactively.
Implement effective project management techniques to ensure timely completion of all phases.
Be flexible with changes caused by issues raised on sites.
Site Supervision:
Oversee daily site operations, ensuring strict adherence to project schedules, quality standards, and safety regulations.
Monitor the progress of construction activities, including carpentry, joinery, painting, tiling, and other interior finishes.
Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions immediately.
Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
Plan transportation and workforce in advance to ensure smooth operations on a daily basis.
Quality Control:
Implement rigorous quality control measures to ensure that all work is executed to the highest standards.
Conduct detailed quality inspections and tests to verify compliance with project specifications.
Resolve quality issues and defects promptly and efficiently.
Maintain a zero-defect approach throughout the project lifecycle.
Safety Management:
Prioritize safety on the construction site, ensuring compliance with all relevant safety regulations and guidelines.
Conduct regular safety inspections and toolbox talks to promote a safe working environment.
Investigate accidents and incidents promptly, implement corrective actions, and report to management.
Cost Control:
Monitor project costs closely and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Prepare accurate cost reports and forecasts.
Manage variations and change orders effectively, ensuring proper authorization and approval.
Have good knowledge in material prices and applications to find alternative solutions when required.
Client Coordination:
Liaise with clients to understand their requirements and expectations.
Communicate effectively with clients to address concerns and provide regular updates on project progress.
Coordinate with interior designers and architects to ensure alignment with design intent.
Communication with clients must be carried out via email firstly and calls or texting apps secondly, to ensure all MOMs or approval are doented.
