Duties and Responsibilities
•Ensures that company personnel observe and follows established safety guidelines.
•Attends regular department meetings to remain in line with comprehensive safety practices of the company.
•Assists in the organization of awareness campaigns regarding safety, such as workshops for occupational safety, fire safety, etc.
•Assists in the conduct of fire and emergency drills.
•Measure & evaluate the effectiveness of action taken or to be taken to prevent injuries and safety.
•Responsible for Safety of building and machinery.
•Investigates accidents and advises preventive measures.
•Studies imminent threats within the work facility.
•Conducts activities that promote security and administer safety training.
•Conducts safety inspections, makes incident records, and reports the supervisor.
•Understands important regulations and is familiar with revisions, trends, and updates concerning best practices in safety.
•Ability to identify and correct conditions that affect employee safety (Safety Awareness)
•Regard safety as a core value; must serve as role model for other employees and encourage adherence to safety practices, policies and procedures
•The provisions of a comprehensive safety advisory service to the Senior Managers and relevant members of the company
•The establishment and maintenance of HSE inspections procedures, including the preparation and appropriate distribution of written reports detailing defects, Weaknesses and recommendations for improvements
•The establishment and maintenance of adequate procedures to ensure that all accidents and dangerous occurrences are thoroughly investigated and promptly reported to in appropriate parties
•Coordinate Safety inductions, Toolbox talks, safety training and safety committee meetings
•Conduct physical tours of work area and internal HSE audits
•Ensure provision and maintenance of safety equipment
•Ensures QHSE compliance, including relevant standards, specifications, and official amendments within
•Hazards identification, risk assessments and control
•Manage Close Calls, Investigation of accidents, incidents and follow-up to close out of corrective action
•Obtain suggestions for improvement to HSEMS from all personnel
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field, supported by internationally recognized certifications including:
•NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety
•IOSH Managing Safely
•ISO 14001:2015 – Environmental Management Systems
•ISO 45001:2018 – Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems
•Certified First Aid
Proven experience in developing, implementing, and enforcing safety policies and procedures, as well as conducting comprehensive risk assessments, incident investigations, and workplace inspections to ensure compliance with local and international safety standards.
Demonstrates strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to hazard identification, employee training, and promoting a positive safety culture across all levels of the organization.
