Job Description:
We are seeking a responsible, experienced, and trustworthy Accountant who can also supervise and manage the day-to-day operations of our supermarket in Umm Al Quwain. This is not just an accounting role — we are looking for someone who can handle staff, customers, and suppliers effectively, and keep the business running smoothly even in the absence of the owner.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting & Financial Management:
Manage daily sales, purchases, and expenses using Gravity software
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records
Handle cash flow, bank reconciliations, and monthly reports
Prepare discount promotion items.
Prepare GRN, GRV and vendor credit note.
Purchasing & Inventory:
Prepare and manage purchase orders with suppliers
Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely restocking
Coordinate with vendors for deliveries and pricing
Staff Management:
Supervise supermarket staff and ensure productivity
Organize shift schedules and staff attendance
Handle basic HR responsibilities such as discipline and performance
Customer & Credit Management:
Maintain records of customer credits
Follow up on payments and credit limits
Ensure excellent customer service at all times
Business Oversight:
Take full responsibility for daily business operations
Resolve any operational issues on-site
Report regularly to the owner on store performance and concerns
Requirements:
Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience in accounting for supermarket and retail supervision
Experience in supermarket business preferred
Strong knowledge of Gravity accounting software or similar ERP systems
Good leadership and staff management skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Trustworthy, proactive, and highly organized
Language:
English is a must
Malayalam ,Arabic or Hin is an advantage
Salary: 2000- 3000 (based on experience)
Availability: Immediate joiners preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business
Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience in accounting or supermark operations
Experience with Gravity software or similar accounting system
Strong leadership and staff management skills
Able to handle purchasing, inventory, and customer credit
Fluent in English and malayalam (Arabic or Hin is a plus)
Trustworthy, responsible, and able to work independently
Must be based in or willing to relocate to Umm Al Quwain
