This is a full-time, on-site role for a Sous Chef located in Doha, Qatar. The Sous Chef will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in day-to-day kitchen operations, including meal preparation, plating, and presentation. You will also be responsible for managing kitchen staff, maintaining inventory, ensuring food quality and safety standards, and coordinating with suppliers. Additionally, the Sous Chef will assist in menu planning, creating new dishes, and managing kitchen finances.
Culinary skills: Expertise in various cooking techniques, meal preparation, and presentation
Leadership skills: Experience in managing kitchen staff and coordinating with team members
Organizational skills: Ability to maintain inventory and ensure efficient kitchen operations
Quality control: Ensuring adherence to food quality and safety standards
Menu development skills: Ability to assist in menu planning and create new dishes
Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Problem-solving skills: Ability to handle unexpected kitchen issues effectively
Relevant qualifications: Culinary degree or equivalent experience is preferred
Experience in the catering industry is a plus
