Key Responsibilities
• Lead structural design and analysis for villas, warehouses, commercial, residential, and industrial projects using reinforced concrete, steel, and composite structural systems.
• Perform structural modelling and analysis using ETABS, SAFE, STAAD.Pro, or equivalent software for gravity, lateral, and seismic loads.
• Design shallow foundations, raft foundations, pile foundations, retaining structures, and other foundation systems based on geotechnical recommendations.
• Conduct structural assessments, integrity evaluations, visual inspections, and load capacity analyses for renovation, retrofitting, and change-of-use projects.
• Prepare structural calculations, design reports, technical specifications, and engineering doentation in accordance with ACI, BS, Eurocodes, and UAE regulations.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, geotechnical consultants, contractors, and clients to deliver integrated engineering solutions.
• Review geotechnical investigation reports and recommend appropriate structural and foundation systems.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor construction progress, ensure compliance with approved structural designs, and provide technical support.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and design team members.
• Prepare structural drawings and doentation for submissions to Dubai Municipality, DDA, Trakhees, DEWA, and other UAE authorities.
• Ensure compliance with UAE building regulations, fire safety requirements, and international engineering standards.
• Liaise with consultants, contractors, and government authorities to resolve technical issues and secure project approvals.
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 5-6 years of progressive experience in structural design and structural assessment within the UAE or GCC region.
• Advanced proficiency in ETABS, SAFE, STAAD.Pro, or equivalent structural analysis software.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit Structure, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong leadership, project management, and multidisciplinary team coordination skills.
• Excellent technical writing, communication, and presentation skills.
• A valid UAE Driving License will be an added advantage.
