Job Description

The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for identifying, qualifying, and closing new business opportunities to drive revenue growth. This role acts as a strategic bridge between potential clients and our engineering team, ensuring that we not only win contracts but also secure projects that align with our technical core competencies and long-term scalability.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Growth: Identify and penetrate new market verticals and geographic regions for our custom software solutions.
Lead Management: Source and qualify high-value leads through consultative outreach, networking, and industry partnerships.
Solution Engineering: Lead discovery sessions with prospects to understand business requirements and work with technical leads to draft accurate Proposals, SOWs, and estimations.
Pipeline Mastery: Maintain a rigorous sales pipeline within the CRM, providing accurate monthly and quarterly revenue forecasts.
Client Relationship Management: Act as the primary point of contact during the pre-sale and onboarding phase, ensuring a seamless handoff to the Project Management team.
Market Intelligence: Stay abreast of tech trends (AI, Cloud, Mobile) and competitor pricing to keep our offerings competitive.

1. Professional Experience
Industry Background: Minimum of 5+ years in a Business Development or Account Management role specifically within the Software Development or IT Services sector.
Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in closing high-ticket B2B service contracts ($50k - $500k+ range).
Sales Cycle Management: Experience managing long, complex sales cycles (3–9 months) involving multiple stakeholders (CTOs, CFOs, Procurement).

2. Technical Competency
SDLC Knowledge: A strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and Agi methodologies.
Tech Literacy: Ability to discuss technical concepts such as APIs, cloud infrastructure, tech stacks (e.g., Node.js, Python, React), and the difference between Native vs. Cross-platform mobile development.
Requirement Gathering: Proficiency in translating vague business ideas into structured technical requirements.

3. Soft Skills & Tools
Communication: Exceptional presentation and negotiation skills; ability to "translate" tech-speak for non-technical executives.
Strategic Thinking: Ability to identify if a project is a "good fit" for the company’s resources and expertise.
Tools: Expert-level proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, or Pipedrive) and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
Prior experience working in a developer or project manager role is a major plus.
Existing network of contacts in industries like FinTech, HealthTech, or Logistics.
Preference will be given to candidates of South Indian background
