Job Purpose
The Mechanical Engineer will oversee and execute mechanical engineering works related to interiors finishing and fit-out projects, ensuring high-quality delivery, compliance with technical standards, and alignment with client expectations. The role requires hands-on coordination with multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to deliver seamless MEP integration into luxury interior projects across GCC and Levant.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, supervise, and manage all mechanical works for interiors finishing and fit-out projects, including HVAC, plumbing, fire-fighting, and specialized MEP services.
Coordinate closely with architects, interior designers, civil engineers, and MEP coordinators to ensure technical drawings are interpreted and executed correctly on site.
Ensure installations meet high-end project requirements in quality, safety, and detailing.
Prepare BOQs, technical submittals, shop drawings, and review material specifications for compliance.
Monitor project progress and conduct quality inspections to avoid rework and abortive works.
Lead site coordination with subcontractors, ensuring work sequences are aligned with finishing works (e.g., joinery, flooring, ceiling, stone cladding, etc.).
Support procurement by identifying suitable supplie, conducting technical evaluations, and ensuring timely delivery of materials.
Ensure compliance with local authority regulations in UAE, KSA, and other G markets.
Travel across GCC and Levant sites to monitor, troubleshoot, and report on project progress.
Prepare weekly progress reports and escalate ris with solutions to project managers.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
5–8 years’ experience in interiors finishing and fit-out projects, preferably high-end residential, hospitality, or commercial developments.
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, drainage, fire-fighting, and building management systems.
Proven experience in GCC projects; exposure to Saudi Arabia & Levant projects preferred.
Strong AutoCAD and Revit MEP skills; familiarity with MS Proje is a plus.
Arabic and English fluency is mandatory (written & spoken).
Valid UAE driving license preferred; willing to travel extensively within GCC & Levant.
