Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Purchase Manager to lead and manage all procurement activities related to our diverse foodstuff portfolio. The ideal candidate will have deep sourcing knowledge in agri-food commodities (fruits, vegetables, spices, dry fruits, lentils, rice, grains, and FMCG) and will ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality procurement from international and local suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute strategic procurement plans for the company’s multi-category food portfolio.

Source and negotiate with reliable international and regional suppliers across key product lines (e.g., fresh fruits, spices, dry goods, rice, oils).

Manage end-to-end procurement processes, including purchase orders, logistics coordination, and doentation (LC, CAD, CIF, FOB, etc.).

Track and manage supplier performance, quality control, lead times, and pricing benchmarks.

Forecast and plan inventory requirements based on sales trends and market seasonality.

Coordinate with impo teams, warehouse managers, and logistics partners for smooth operations.

Ensure all purchases comply with international trade regulations, UAE food safety laws, and impo policies.

Establish long-term supplier contracts to lock in prices and supply reliability.

Monitor global commodity trends, shipping disruptions, and currency fluctuations to optimize purchasing decisions.

Liaise with finance for timely payments, budgeting, and cost controls.


Candidate Requirements

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Agriculture, or related field (Master’s preferred).

Minimum 5–8 years of experience in foodstuff or commodity trading, preferably in the UAE or GCC.

Strong knowledge of international procurement, sourcing platforms, and customs doentation.

Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.

Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.

Strong organizational and communication skills.

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, impo environment.

Understanding of perishable product logistics, shelf life, quality grades, and packaging specifications.

Preferred Experience With:
Sourcing from India, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Africa, South America, and Southeast Asia.

UAE and GCC wholesale and re-export markets.

Dealing with cold chain and dry storage goods.

Food labeling, quality certifications, and import approvals (Dubai Municipality, Abu Dhabi Agriculture & Food Safety Authority).
